The China General Chamber of Commerce-USA (CGCC) and the CGCC Foundation hosted a grand celebration marking the Chamber’s 20th anniversary at Cipriani 42nd Street in Manhattan. Themed “Connecting the World, Creating New Opportunities,” the event commemorated two decades of dedication to fostering business collaboration and economic growth.
CGCC took this opportunity to extend heartfelt appreciation to its members and partners who have played a pivotal role in shaping its remarkable journey. Through unwavering commitment, CGCC has established itself as the leading representative of Chinese enterprises in the U.S., facilitating trade and investment between the two nations.
A Night of Distinguished Guests and Recognitions
CGCC Chairman and President of Bank of China USA, Hu Wei, delivered the opening remarks. He emphasized the Chamber’s steadfast mission, stating, “CGCC has always been committed to creating value, driving economic growth, and strengthening U.S.-China trade relations. Tonight’s theme perfectly embodies our shared aspirations in the business community.” Hu expressed sincere gratitude to sponsors, board members, and partners for their invaluable contributions.
Chinese Ambassador to the U.S., Xie Feng, along with his wife Wang Dan, attended and delivered a keynote speech. Ambassador Xie underscored the importance of entrepreneurship and innovation, urging the business community to “embrace a pioneering spirit, boost confidence, and enhance cooperation to ensure the steady and sustainable development of U.S.-China economic relations.” He further encouraged CGCC to continue its advocacy for Chinese enterprises in the U.S. and to foster greater bilateral trade collaboration in the coming decades.

Chairman & CEO, Marc Holliday, introduced the “Twenty for Twenty” recognition segment, celebrating 20 outstanding member enterprises and partners for their contributions to U.S.-China commercial engagement. Dignitaries, including Ambassador Xie, Chinese Consul General in New York Chen Li, CGCC Chairman Hu Wei, and CGCC Vice Chairman Yuan Ning, presented awards and shared in the momentous occasion with the honorees.
The evening also featured a special video address from Michael R. Bloomberg, founder of Bloomberg L.P. and Bloomberg Philanthropies, and former Mayor of New York City.
