Mr. Darcy holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and a J.D. from Harvard University, where he served as the Editor-in-Chief of Volume 16 of the Harvard Journal of Law & Technology.
Mr. Darcy has a diverse background in law and politics, serving as the Mayor of Cupertino, California, from 2018 to 2022. He was also a member of the Cupertino City Council in 2009 and a Director of the Cupertino Chamber of Commerce.
Mr. Darcy's legal experience includes a range of civil litigation, such as patent litigation, stock fraud litigation, and employment discrimination cases. He has also participated in various business transactions, including the formation of investment funds and corporate acquisitions, with expertise in start-up law, private transactions, and venture capital.
He represented Santa Cruz Biotechnology as a defendant in a patent infringement lawsuit, successfully negotiating a settlement with the plaintiff. Additionally, he defended AMIC Technology in an ITC patent infringement action involving tungsten metallization semiconductor chips, reaching a favorable settlement. Mr. Darcy also played a key role in protecting Amgen Inc. in a patent litigation case that secured over $2 billion in annual drug sales. As lead counsel, he successfully obtained a confidential settlement payment in a stock fraud case on behalf of the plaintiff.
